Quiet, but the paint chips

I bought a pair of 66 inch Yakima crossbars with 4 grab claws ($240 at local sporting goods store) to carry my Yakima cargo box on my 2008 Toyota Highlander. The crossbars were so loud, especially on the highway, so I returned them and bought these. I've been very happy with the easy installation and lack of noise while driving, and the significant cost savings ($95 on Amazon).

I haven't driven with the cargo box on yet, so I will addend this review once that happens. But, so far, really happy with it. 4 stars due to the paint chipping slightly where you tighten the grips. But it's pretty hard to see it, so not a big deal really.

September 27, 2011 addendum:

We took a 1300 mile round trip from Iowa to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and back over the weekend with a fully loaded Yakima Rocketbox 15 attached to these rails. The rails did great, did not move, and held our cargo box firmly. I'm very satisfied with them, as is our dog, wh o was able to travel with us thanks to the rails and cargo box.

Overall, would purchase these again. Minor cosmetic deduction for the paint chipping slightly, but structurally sound product.

Good product and works as designed. Self expainitory instalation steps. Hooked up my Thule and away we went, no issues.
