Product Description

Universal superfit roof cross bars for vehicles without existing roof side rails. Haul up to 150 lbs. of cargo on a vehicle roof with roof bars designed to secure inside the vehicle. Package includes (2) roof bars in total. The RCB-3745-U superfit roof rack cross bars feature non-marring rubber feet to protect the car roof and (2) straps per bar which connect together inside the vehicle with a gator clip. Each roof bar measures 47.75"L x 1"D overall. The feet mount to a vehicle roof in one of (3) positions between 37" to 45" apart. Great for kayaks, canoes, ladders, lumber, luggage, camping gear and more!

Please note: Roof bar straps are designed to connect inside the vehicle and over top of the door weather-seal. It's not recommended to use these cross bars in heavy rain as water may leak inside the vehicle. For your own safety please keep in mind to firmly secure longer cargo extending past the windshield and rear window with both a bow and stern tie-down strap to prevent air stream drafts from shifting cargo on the roof rack.

4It's what you get for the price...
By Nikodem Leszek Blach
It was the choice between a 100+ dollar rack system, or one like this that was under 50. Since I was planning to buy Kayaks as well I figured I could save some money on the rack (and I realize my logic could be flawed).

I'm not disappointed with my purchase but I realize that I will likely have to buy a higher quality rack within the year or possibly sooner.

When you first open the box you may feel the plastic rack holders feel a little cheap but what I really didn't care for was the rubber stoppers you put on the bottom of the plastic bar holders... that felt cheap, really cheap. The rubber stoppers could definitely have a different finish on them so they could actually grip your roof but the straps and weight of whatever you're storing will take care of that.

Once situated on my car those 2 things felt fine. The bars feel very sturdy actually. The straps and clip feel fine but those straps are what will likely have to be replaced within the year. for what it's worth, that will only cost about 15 bucks to replace for some higher quality straps. The straps are fine out of the box but since the clip has some very sharp teeth on it I worry after 10+ times the straps will get cut up to the point that they'll have to be replaced. Again, 15 bucks will get you 4 new straps with better latches that you can use with this kit. a sports store will have them if not a home improvement store.

Regardless, this kit carried a Swiss 2 kayak kit strapped to the top with 2 40 pound kayaks as well. I am very satisfied and got exactly what I paid for. I may invest 150+ to get a higher end kit later, but this will do till the end of the season.

3Rusty Contents
By JEMA
I am dissapointed to say the least at this Roof Rack Cross Bar. The box that it came with has no branding other than a part number on the outside. When I opened the box the contents were all in a long plastic bag. The bag was discoloured with a rustic dust. I was very concerned about the rest of the contents. Well low and behold all items were covered by this rustic dust. I had to take a wet rag to clean every single item. I am concerned if this item will rust further down the road.
The above being said, this is not the fault of the seller as the packaging was sealed. The items were imported from China and could have been sold to the final seller by a wholesaler or importer. So I would not necessarily blaim the seller. The contents appear to be sturdy. But my main concern is where did this rust come from (I assume that it is from the two metal bars for the rack) and would the bars continue to rust. Time would tell.

4Good Value
By Paul Mangefrida
Easy to install, just wish the straps didn't hang so low in car. Even fit on a SCION xA. Good value for price. Will be trying on longer trip in October.
