XC70 roof rails

These roof rails worked great on my 2008 XC70. They were easy to install and secured the Volvo Weekender cargo box without any issues. They were also less than half the price quoted at the Volvo dealership...or compared to Thule's product on line. Highly recommended.

Quickly Rusted

The rubber lining doesn't go all the way to the end of the bars, which leaves metal exposed that isn't event rust resistant. The ends of the bars quickly became ugly rusted. And, the bars make really loud wind noises at speeds of just 40 mph. And the mechanism for locking the bars down is poorly designed and resulted in us losing one of the four end covers.

Easy install

This roof rack clamps on to the rails installed on the XC-90 by utilizing simple tools. Once secured, a cover slides over the the thumb screws and locks in place with a key preventing access and unauthorized removal. Simple product that works well.
