4pleased with product
By mr G
installed very easy ,as per instructions . so far just one trip with a 16" canoe on the roof rack 300km round trip , the bars held well and seem very sturdy, attachments work well to the factory roof rails. I would recommend this product to anybody who wants to save 200 dollars over buying from a dealership! hopefully get many years of use from them.

5Bars worked perfectly
By GIScoobe
I connected the system very quickly to an '08 Volkswagen Passat Wagon. I didn't want the bars that extended too far past the feet (as I have viewed on other vehicles) and this one is good. The rails are a little longer than the vehicle base, but not extraordinarily long. I can see where on other reviews it will be possible for rust to form on the lock system, but having owned a very expensive rack system by Thule, the same thing happened. This brand just save me a boat load of money for a similar quality product.

After using the bars on the vehicle for a period of time, I noted one strange behavior: if there isn't a load on the roof, the wind resistance on the bar themselves creates a fairly annoying noise at higher speeds. Once a load is placed on the roof, such as a roof top carrier, the window is deflected and the noise stops. For that reason, I remove the bars after use.
