Solid Construction

We purchased these bars for a 2009 Ford Flex. We bought the Foot Pack. If we didn't, we would have found out that the Bars did not come with the End Caps. The End are exposed Aluminum Stock. So the End Caps are required. For the price, I would have expected the end caps to come with the cross bars.

These bars are far superior to round. Although they are not as aerodynamic, the accesories that you mount to them can't rotate and slip around the bar. With the round bars accecories can rotate down because you can not generate enough friction in the bar to prevent it. Hands down the best inexpensive bars out there.

Good Rack

Good roof rack system, works exactly as desired and was purchased at a good price!

The whole system comes together well, directions are strait forward and easy to follow. Once its all put together it looks good (Not even bothering to take it off the car (2011 Kia Sorento) when not in use, just leave it on there). Easily adjustable, and works great for the big 80lb 15ft+ kayak I got it for.

My setup:
Thule LB58 Roof Rack Load Bars
Thule 450 CrossRoad Railing Roof Rack Foot Pack
Thule EC1 Load Bar End Caps
Thule 883 Glide and set Kayak mount.

Couldnt be happier with the setup, although am considering getting the wind shield to put on the front (The square bars do make a little bit of whistling, but I accepted this when ordering the square vs the oval ones)
